Background

Solfrid is a doctoral student in the PANDEMEAT project at SUM and researches management of African swine fever in Norway and Sweden. She explores how different actors such as management, hunters and farmers are affected and how they work to prevent and deal with outbreaks. Solfrid has a master's and bachelor's degree from the Department of Social Anthropology at UiO, with a semester at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina and a semester at the Norwegian Embassy in Santiago. In her master's thesis, she explored environmental management within the Norwegian Agriculture Agency and wrote about the employees' use of care in their work and their relationship to emotions and knowledge.
