Norway has donated almost 700,000 corona vaccine doses to poorer nations

Development Today: COVAX has gone from its original conception as a global partnership for joint vaccine procurement that was intended to ensure simultaneous access to priority groups in rich and poor countries alike, to being primarily an aid project, says Katerini Storeng.

As a plane carrying 600,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines landed at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana, in late February, world leaders celebrated the milestone — it was the first country to get a delivery through COVAX, a global vaccine distribution facility established in mid-2020.
