You must have a bachelor's degree to take courses at the master's level. Having a foundation in the humanities or social sciences will help you engage with the course material, but is not an explicit requirement. Please check the course descriptions for more details on entry requirements.

- Ask your student-/programme advisor to confirm that the course you want to apply for can be included in your master's degree.
- Forward the confirmation to studentinfo@sum.uio.no
- Include your name and student number.
Are you admitted to a master's programme at another University or University College in Norway, or currently not a student?
- Apply in Nettskjema by 7 Jan./7 Aug. with the following documentation:
- Basic qualifications registration form
- Bachelor's Degree Diploma
- Documentation of English Proficiency (for Norwegian students: VGS-vitnemål)
