Inequalities and human development
Almost 30 years since its inception, the Human Development Report remains a powerful voice. This year’s report deals with inequalities in the 21st Century and how they weaken social cohesion and economic growth, and damage people’s trust in government, institutions and in each other.
By looking beyond income, beyond averages, and beyond today, the report presents analyses, ideas and policy options to tackle inequality's drivers, recognizing that many inequalities are the symptom of an unfair system rather than the cause.
Come and find out more – including how Norway ranks on the Human Development Index this year – as UNDP, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Oslo SDG Initiative at the University of Oslo invite you to the Norwegian launch of the 2019 UNDP Human Development Report on the 16th of December.
