Panel meeting in London

The Independent Panel on Global Governance for Health recently met in London to discuss the current work and the upcoming publications.

At the meeting, the panel members set out the direction for their work in 2017. The topic of the upcoming articles will be the implications for health and the social determinants of health of trade and investment agreements, extractive industries and philanthrocapitalism.

The Panel members present at the meeting were: Desmond McNeill, Ted Schrecker, Sakiko Fukuda Parr and Anne-Emanuelle Birn. In addition, Sridhar Venkatapuram took part in the meeting as he will be working with panel member David Stuckler on one of the publications.

Sidsel Roalkvam and Charlotte Kildal from the Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM) were also taking part in the Panel's deliberations and helped to organise the meeting.

The next Panel meeting is scheduled for October 2017.
