The recent increase in Amazonian wildfires and deforestation have generated new debates about the responsibilities of companies and consumers for avoiding soy and cattle products from recently deforested areas. Many questions are raised, including whether it is possible to actually monitor the entire supply chain in order to avoid damaging consequences for the Amazon of the consumption of products that involve the use of soy and cattle.
