The Network for Asian Studies' Open Summer Meeting

The Network for Asian Studies (Asianettverket) has the pleasure of inviting you to our open summer meeting. We present the award for best MA-thesis on an Asian topic for 2015/2016; researchers from the high-profile 'Airborne' research project at IKOS/UiO share interesting findings from their ongoing work; we present our activities for the autumn; and, there is cava and other refreshments. The programme continues at Literaturhuset where the renown psychologist Sudhir Kakar speaks on the Kama Sutra at 6 pm. Welcome one and all!

Programme for the summer meeting:

  • The award for best MA-thesis on an Asian topic for 2015/2016
  • 'Coping with Choking - How China Deals with Air Pollution' - presentations by Mette Halskov Hansen, Rune Svarverud and Anna L. Ahlers from the 'Airborne' research project at IKOS/UiO
  • Presentation of the Network for Asian Studies' autumn programme for 2016
  • Cava, refreshments and general mingling on the rooftop
  • 'The Kama Sutra and Contemporary Sexuality' by Sudhir Kakar (at Literaturhuset from 6pm, co-organised with SAI/UiO)
