The Network for Asian Studies' MA Course

The Network for Asian Studies/Asianettverket welcomes you to our annual MA course which we this time conduct in conjunction with the NORASIA VII conference. All MA students writing about Asia can apply.

Are you writing an MA thesis on an Asia-related topic? Would you like to meet other students and researchers, and receive feedback on your work and approach?

The course consists of two parts: (1) informal inspirational lectures by the course leaders; and (2) student presentations of their research topics followed by detailed and in-depth comments by the course leaders. This year the MA course is held in conjuction with the NORASIA VII conference, and the course participants are also welcome to attend the conference.

The MA course is free, and open to all students in Norway who are enrolled in an MA programme. Students from outside of Oslo can apply for a travel grant.

The application deadline is 12 December. Simply apply by sending an email and a project description of 1-2 pages to Linn A. Christiansen.

The course will be held in English and we will finalise the programme once the deadline has passed.
