I hope to be able to bring greater attention to and knowledge of Chinese influence and perspectives on global governance and international cooperation, as well as understanding of the ESG aspects of Chinese overseas business and investment, particularly in Latin America and Africa.
Wei Guo holds a master´s degree in Culture, Environment and Sustainability from the Center for Development and the Environment at University of Oslo and a bachelor´s degree in law majoring in International Politics from Beijing International Studies University.
In the past, Wei has worked on the 'BROKEX' project at the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages in the University of Oslo, an ethnographic study of the global expansion of the Great Bay Area in South China, and the 'Sustainable Finance and Investment' project at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Norway. She has also worked as a consultant, providing advice and support for various China-related projects and business development in the Nordic region, particularly promoting international collaboration in the areas of climate change and green development. Before moving to Norway, she worked at the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government in China.
