Faglige interesser

Min faglige bakgrunn og interesse ligger i de sosio-kulturelle aspektene knyttet til energi, spesielt elektrisk strøm. Fra energisystemer initieres, utvikles og implementeres til de tas i bruk, blir de formet av sosiale og kulturelle forhold. Samtidig har slike teknologier sosiale effekter. Jeg er spesielt opptatt av hvordan ulik maktfordeling og kjønnsrelasjoner spiller inn, hvordan folks ideer om det gode liv, komfort og organisering av tid samspiller med deres bruk av nye teknologier, samt hvordan energi henger sammen med store utfordringer som fattigdom og miljø. Jeg har gjort feltarbeid i Zanzibar (Tanzania), Kenya, The Sunderban Islands (India) og i Norge.
