Rhetoric and rhetorical theory, animal and environmental movements and development discourse.
Kristian Bjørkdahl is a rhetorician who has worked broadly within – and outside – the field of rhetoric. Specifically, he has researched themes like the animal and environmental movements, climate rhetoric, pandemics and the rhetoric of health and medicine, development discourse, and rhetorical theory. He uses archival research, text analysis, reception study, and etnographic-ish methods. Per august 2017, Kristian is a postdoc studying the branding of Nordic colonial innocence.
