Call for applications: Erik Blytt MA Stipend
In memory of Erik Blytt, a former student and researcher at SUM, the Centre annually advertises a stipend for master students of NOK 3000 per month, with 6 - 12 months attachment to the Centre.
The application deadline was 20 April, 2018.
The recipient of the stipend will have modest duties, primarily to assist SUM's interdisciplinary Research School in Development and the Environment. This will leave ample time for writing their master’s thesis, which should be on some theme of relevance to one of SUM's research areas/themes.
SUM Research School is designed to inspire and enhance PhD students' commitment and research by bringing our students together in a group of like-minded and engaged researchers, through both academic and social events. Activities include: Doctoral Courses, work in progress discussion seminars, student involvement in SUM's network, seminar and conference activities and engaged researcher support (including training in research ethics, policy relevance and communication with the media).
The recipient of the stipend will be given a shared office at SUM. The stipend, and the associated duties, will start from 1 June, 2018.
Applicants must, in addition to fluency in Norwegian:
- Have a good knowledge of English
- Want to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Have started a Master's Programme at a department of the University of Oslo.
Applications (in English or Norwegian)
Questions, if any, can be directed to SUM Research School coordinator Jostein Jakobsen
