Matlære: Food Talks

Lunch seminar with Helene Gallis: 'How urban agriculture contributes to the shift towards sustainability'

Credit to Nabolagshager, Helene Gallis

Program

In this seminar, Helene Gallis will talk about urban agriculture, focussing on Scandinavia. Can public parks, community gardens and private balconies improve food security and access to and knowledge about good food, or is it just a 'hipster hobby'? What social, cultural and environmental aspects of urban agriculture should be considered when developing relevant policy and what is the role and responsibility of city municipalities, urban planners and real estate in facilitating further expansion?

After the presentation, we will open for questions from and discussion with the audience.

The seminar is free and open to everyone but requires registration. Coffee and tea will be served, but remember to bring your own lunch.
