Between 2002 and 2006, I studied for a Bachelor of Arts at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University, Greifswald (Germany), and at the University of Bergen (Norway), focussing on Scandinavian Studies, English/American Studies, and Environmental Ethics, and completing a thesis on the work of Arne Næss.
In 2006, I became co-founder of the Deep Ecology Workgroup, a student organization that worked on various environmental educational projects for children and adolescents. I am currently a board member of “Arne i 100”, a group dedicated to commemorating the occasion of Arne Næss’ 100th anniversary by developing facets of Næss’ work in educational institutions around the country.
In 2010, I lectured in Mongolia as a staff member of BOOKBRIDGE, a voluntary organization dedicated to establishing education centers worldwide.
Earlier commitments include, among others, having worked as an outdoors teacher, as a teacher for students displaying behavioral problems, and as a research assistant at the Chair of Medieval Linguistics at the Institute for English and American Studies, University of Greifswald.
